When Stephanie called us to schedule an extended family session, we knew it was going to be special. Her grandparents bought their farm in Sykesville and raised their children on it decades ago. Stephanie and her sister Amie were also raised on this farm. After years in the works, Amie built her own house on the farm and Stephanie moved back and completely renovated one of the original houses. Now, the 4th generation of children gets to enjoy the same carefree, fun childhood! What an amazing place to make memories that they can remember for a lifetime! What a special session it was and we were so happy to help capture memories on the farm!
As some of you may know, I am also a part-time nanny for a wonderful family. A couple weeks ago, they just welcomed their 3rd baby boy! It was a lot of fun to be able to photograph not only the new little squish, but his big brothers who I get to see every week!
Brayden was a sleeping champ and let me pose him through toddler chaos and his barking dog. He is already playing his birth order role just fine! Mom made cute white shirts for each of the boys that read "Big Brother, Middle Brother, and Little Brother." Thankfully we captured one where the words were readable and the big brothers were looking and smiling! We also captured plenty of silly faces and giggles, which always end up being our favorites!
Thank you for having us as your photographers! We both can't wait to watch him grow. :)
My youngest niece just turned 6 months! What a perfect time to fit in a indoor winter (supposed to be almost Spring!) session. I wish some people could record us as we photograph family members kiddos sometimes. Chaos, lol! A good, fun, crazy chaos! Im not sure when we all decided to have so many kids but between just me and my sister in law we had seven kids running around. Lucky for us Mia is so easygoing and content :) She just hung out on the beanbag and smiled away as if nothing was going on around her! You just gotta love her! She is the sweetest little addition to our crazy crew and we love her oh so much!
Back in December, we got our first snow of the season here in Sykesville, MD. It happened to be a Saturday, so we made a family hangout day out of it. My Christmas Eve nephew baby was about to turn 1, so we thought a snowy session would be great!
We took a few indoor portraits, to keep Jackson happy and comfortable, although 1 year-olds can be tricky to keep on the set! So we headed outside for some family fun, and it was Jackson's first time really getting to experience the snow! It was pretty cold and he became uncomfortable quickly. It's a good thing he is such a happy, smiley baby for Aunt Kerry! ;)
I can't help but throw in a few of his newborn portraits at the end. This year has flown by and it has been such a joy to have him in our family. We love you guys!
Welcome to our NEW BLOG! Although we lost a ton of content in the transfer that we are trying not to think about, it was a much needed change, and we will definitely be going back and sharing previous sessions!
Our official first post is our last session of 2017! Caitlin & Colin invited us into their home right before the new year, for a beautiful lifestyle session with their 2 month old daughter. Right away we noticed her gorgeous red hair. Mom had a baby picture of herself in the room too, and they looked so much alike! Baby Callie was born at home, so capturing her in the same room she entered this world in was pretty awesome. We loved hearing bits and pieces of her birth story and getting to know them.
Lifestyle sessions are perfect for those in-between baby stages. A little too old for newborn posing, but just right for lifestyle! They also work well when it is bitter cold outside! We had just gotten an inch or so of snow overnight, so going outside definitely wasn't an option. This family opted to stay toasty and warm, getting in their snuggles, kisses, and feeding time before their baby girl grows up way too fast!
Thank you for having us capture this special time, Caitlin and Colin!
